This picture set shows the monastery near covarrubius, that was used to shoot the interior sequence of the monastery where Blondie recovers in GBU after walking through the desert. The exterior was filmed at Cortijo Del Fraille in Almera. The actual monastery on the banks of the Rio Arlanza, near the site where the battle of langstone bridge was filmed, is in ruins these days, with an actual guard making sure nobody does any extra harm to the place. The guard actually knew that GBU was filmed here and told of how the long barn across the street was also used for interior shots in GBU,where may wounded soldiers lie side by side.
